A "beep" tone followed by a second "beep" about ten seconds later alerts you that a second caller is trying to reach you. CALL WAITING is automatically disabled during 3-way conference calls. You may disable CALL WAITING for individual calls.
When you hear the first or second "beep" choose an option:
- End your first call by hanging up.
- The second call will automatically ring through.
- Put first call on hold and answer the second:
- Depress switchhook momentarily once;
- listen for recall dial tone;
- dial 18.
- Repeat to switch back and forth between calls.
- Ignore the second call and continue with the first call.
- TO CANCEL CALL WAITING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL CALL:
- Before placing a call:
- dial 115;
- listen for two short tones,
- dial call.
- During a call:
- depress switchhook momentarily;
- listen for recall dial tone;
- dial 115;
- after two short tones the call is reconnected.
